I can shoot paintings and sculptures in situ. This can be a very useful way to indicate the scale of a work in relation to an existing interior and enable potential clients to consider how your artworks might work in their own homes. Sometimes you may not have had a chance to get a work photographed once it has been cast or purchased and installed. As an experienced interiors photographer, I can create compelling images of your work in situ. I have a short shoot rate which can be helpful where limited coverage is required.
While 2D artwork is normally photographed with evenly balanced artificial lights in a semi-darkened space, works behind glass photographed in situations where the surroundings also need to be recorded, will throw up a lot of distracting reflections. Using special lighting techniques and composite exposures, I can generally eradicate these reflections and blend a properly lit image with its surroundings, while maintaining a natural looking result which sits convincingly in the existing light. I can also offer a digital "drop in" service whereby your images can be "virtually" hung in a wide selection of interiors images, to assist with sales listings. Please get in touch with your requirements.
